In September 2020, we were able to provide a CAF promotional stand at the Vintage Aircraft Club fly in at Turweston airfield. Turweston is the home of the LAA (Light Aircraft Association), Both VAC and LAA were very accommodating to CAF , allowing us to pitch up next to some of their great privately owned ex-military and civil light aircraft. There was a large array of ex-military and Civil planes flying in during the day, including some very rare examples, some of which are the only such of their type flying in the UK. A great day spent promoting the mission of CAF.
There were vintage aircraft of differing types , single and multi engine, monoplane and bi-plane...covering a wide time period from the earliest days of aviation to the present day. Fantastic to see these machines in the environment they were meant to be....in the air. Many being a labour of love in terms of maintenance and restoration for the many private owners and operators who flew them to Turweston.
Thanks to the VAC, LAA and all the great friendly staff at Turweston Airfield for hosting the CAF. Get along to Turweston which is a very friendly airfield with a superb cafeteria.
