Gallery above shows the return visit by Lt Col Hamilton, to USAAF station airfield he took off from on June 5th 1944 for D-day. As a Pathfinder pilot He and his group were some of the first group of planes to drop paratroopers in Normandy for the liberation of Europe.
75 years later, D-Day Doll from CAF Riverside California, provides the flypast salute to say thank-you to David and the Thousands of other veterans from the Greatest Generation in WW2, and remember the sacrifices of the men who never returned. Those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for victory and freedom.
